CLH Foundation raises funds to improve the lives of those supported by CLH Developmental Support Services, focusing on enhancing quality of life, access to essential needs, and initiatives which promote connection, community, and engagement. CLH Developmental Support Services (CLH DSS) provides specialized services to more than 200 adults, youth and seniors in communities across North Simcoe, as well as 1700 children and their families throughout Simcoe County. Throughout its 65-year history, CLH has created an environment of acceptance, encouragement and empowerment for people with developmental disabilities and support needs. With the help of our community of donors, sponsors, and partners, CLH Foundation ensures this vital work continues, with practical, meaningful and impactful support.
Join us on November 23 for a great day of curling and high spirits as we celebrate community, raise funds, and help build awareness of the work of CLH Developmental Support Services.
Your donations are put to work right away to directly benefit adults, youth, seniors and children who are supported by CLH Developmental Support Services. Read all about it in the current issue of Connected magazine, which highlights the outcomes made possible by generous donors like you.

CLH Foundation raises $110,000 annually to cover the costs of unfunded medical and personal health essentials for the 90 adults who live in CLH Supported Living Homes. This supports a practice that is unique to CLH and has been in place since the beginning, one that nurtures health, dignity and the opportunity to thrive.
CLH supports 36 members of the community with developmental disabilities who live independently but require some support to successfully negotiate the challenges of living on their own. Bridging the Gap is an initiative to address the overwhelming burden of trying to make ends meet on a very fixed income.
Foundation for Success provides critical funds to individuals where there is no other funding available and they otherwise would not have access to health and medical assistance, learning and skill-building, or essentials for health and well-being.
Your financial support directly benefits individuals who are served and supported by CLH Developmental Support Services. With your help, we will continue to provide an environment that supports well-being and provides encouragement and plentiful opportunities for engagement and participation.
CLH Foundation acknowledges that it is located on land which is the traditional and Treaty territory of the Anishinaabek people, now known as the Chippewa Tri-Council comprised of Beausoleil First Nation, Rama First Nation, and the Georgina Island First Nation. This territory is within the pre-confederation Treaty 5 and Treaty 16 and included within the Williams Treaties of 1923. Several Treaties of Peace were made on a Nation to Nation basis between the Crown, the Anishinaabek and the Haudenosaunee peoples. The Dish with One Spoon Waumpum Belt and the Five Council Fire Waumpum Belt speak upon the peace agreements between these two Nations. We also recognize that we are located on land which was once the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and that our community is home to many citizens of the Metis Nation of Ontario and to a large and diverse community of Indigenous peoples.
