A Message from CLH DSS
Board President
As I reflect on the past year, I am struck by the determination of our employees, partners, Boards and community to never lose sight of CLH’s vision to ensure that people with
developmental support needs live with dignity and respect, share in every element of living and participate as valued members of the community. We do this by providing specialized services to these children,
youth and adults (and their families) and work to create an environment of acceptance and encouragement. What makes us different from other organizations though, and more able to deliver these exceptional
services, is our people. A huge thank you to all of them!
We must acknowledge however that this has become increasingly challenging in the unprecedented financial environment we find ourselves. Despite these hardships, CLH’s dedication to serving our community
has not wavered. Our staff, participants, volunteers and partners have demonstrated remarkable adaptability and perseverance. Their efforts have enabled us to continue to provide essential services, launch our
updated strategic plan, look for new sources of funding and even expand some programs. CLH Foundation and our community have responded with vigour and risen to the occasion, with increasing support.
Looking ahead, we are optimistic that by working together, we will emerge stronger and more resilient. Our focus will remain on strengthening our organizational health, enhancing our programs, and continuing to
serve our community with the same passion and dedication that has defined our organization.
Again many, many thanks to everyone for all you do every day to make our community better and more equitable.
